Sohag National University.
Sohag National University is a national (ahliya) university established by Presidential Decree No. 247 of 2025 and led by the president of the public Sohag University. Its new 60-feddan campus is in New Sohag City. Teaching began in 2025/2026 across eight faculties: medicine, pharmacy, health sciences technology, engineering, computers and AI, science, media, and languages and humanities.
