Benha National University is a non-profit national (ahliya) university in Obour City, Qalyubia Governorate, created by Presidential Decree 369 of 2022 and extended to ten colleges by a 2023 decree. Teaching began in 2022/2023 with medicine, engineering, computer science and business, and dentistry, physical therapy, veterinary medicine, visual arts and design and energy sciences were added between 2023 and 2025. Its 40-feddan campus houses about 25 undergraduate programmes.
