Luxor National University is a national (ahliya) university based in New Tiba (Thebes) City in Luxor governorate, set up under Presidential Decree No. 265 of 2025 after the Council of National Universities approved it (decision 14 of 23 February 2025). It started with four specialised faculties — arts and design, tourism and antiquities, computers and AI, and languages, translation and humanities — offering fifteen bachelor's programmes, including Arabic for non-native speakers.
