1. Understand the Egypt route
Non-Egyptian applicants to public, private and national universities apply through the Ministry's Study in Egypt portal (admission.study-in-egypt.gov.eg), run by the Central Administration for International Students' Affairs; a private university's own form does not replace this nomination. Al-Azhar University uses its own international-student platform. After the initial nomination, service fees must be paid and the legalised originals delivered by the stated deadline, or the nomination lapses. Every file also passes a security review, and portal fees are not refunded.
2. Prepare and confirm
Check the institution's current deadline and document requirements. Programme rules take precedence over general guidance.
3. Continue to the portal
The Apply button opens the central SIT Connect student portal with studyateg, studyinegypt.com and the selected programme attached. SIT Connect then confirms the correct official submission route.
