Greater Cairo, including Giza, New Cairo, 6th of October City and the New Administrative Capital, has the largest concentration of universities. Alexandria, Mansoura, Zagazig, Tanta, Assiut and Ismailia are home to long-established public universities, several with private or national universities nearby, while New Alamein hosts newer national universities. Costs and campus settings differ from city to city.
