Requirements used in Egypt
Undergraduate admission is based on the secondary-school certificate. Each certificate type is converted to a percentage and compared with minimum scores set for international students by faculty, so the faculties open to you depend on your certificate as well as your grades. Medical, dental and pharmacy faculties require specific science subjects, engineering requires mathematics, and some certificates, such as the American diploma, also need a standardised test result. Postgraduate applicants need a previous degree that the Supreme Council of Universities recognises as equivalent. Prepare legalised originals of every certificate and transcript: legalised by the issuing country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then the Egyptian embassy or consulate there, or through that country's embassy in Cairo and Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Language evidence
English-taught and local-language programmes may set different language requirements. Use the individual programme record and confirm accepted tests with the institution.
Recognition and certification
Document recognition, translation and legalisation depend on where the qualification was issued. Follow the institution's checklist and the competent authority named by Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
